ABOUT

At the end of the Second World War, Signor Romano had the happy idea to open a boutique in Stresa for household linen. Despite the difficult times, he managed, thanks to his personal commitment, courtesy, competence and innate sense of beauty, to gain the trust and loyalty of a large, discerning clientele, customers who knew they could find in his shop the best that the market had to offer.
Thanks to this well merited trust, Roman’s boutique, located in a busy street in the heart of Stresa, has expanded over the course of the years, offering to the admiring eye of tourists from every nation wonderful handmade articles of embroidery and other small treasures of needlework.

Romano’s shop offers a wide range of lacework and hand embroidered centerpieces such as ‘chiacchierino’, ‘fusello Cantù’, Burano lace, Renaissance lace, and others, to suit the most acquired tastes. It offers also a wide selection of articles for the kitchen, dining room, bathroom and bedroom.
Longstanding customers and new visitors will be able to find in Romano’s splendid hand-embroidered tablecloths or hard-to-find centerpieces in pure byssus linen, a rich selection of bathroom accessories, and in particular an innovative bathroom towel 100% made in Italy with top quality materials.

But not only fabrics and embroidery... From expert, refined artisans of Florence comes a selection of hand decorated wooden products, such as trays and boxes, and quality handmade articles in true leather.

Today the shop is run, as in the past, by courteous, qualified assistants able to advise the best solution for your needs, in fulfillment of our mission:

YOUR SATISFACTION IS OUR PRIMARY DUTY
